Location
This is a passage located between Round Reef and the main island of St. Croix. It is a narrow passageway, but the buoys mark it very well and some are lit up for extra visibility. The Schooner Channel has been dredged to around 5m.
It is a good anchorage that can be quiet, however, nautical activities and north-easterly winds can make the channel fairly active on weekends.
This anchorage is well located close to Christiansted Harbor, Protestant Cay and St Croix Marina and Boatyard. The latter is the best option if you are looking to make use of the facilities and refuel.
