When it comes to USVI catamaran charters, the 60–80 ft range offers some of the best value in the industry. You’re getting a true luxury yacht experience—spacious layouts, top-tier crews, flybridges, jacuzzis, and serious service—often on par with larger motor yachts, but at a fraction of the price and usually all-inclusive.
This is the sweet spot where comfort, performance, and value meet. These are the crewed catamarans we’d personally recommend, based on guest feedback and firsthand experience.
10. LIQUID SKY
LIQUID SKY really caught our eye at the yacht show. She’s a beautifully designed luxury catamaran that feels modern, spacious, and high-end. The décor is elegant, with incredible attention to detail and great aesthetic sense. –Delicate tablescapes, food presentations – everything is just a pleasure to look at.
The cabins are great—there’s a gorgeous master and 3 queen VIPs, all cozy and well put together.
Dining onboard is next-level. Chef Amber puts so much thought into her food and presentation—I would go as far as to claim that it is some of the best-presented meals we’ve seen in Virgin Island Catamaran Charters.
The crew on LIQUID SKY is a big part of what makes her special. Captain Simon has an adventurous side that really shows—he’s a dive master, a whitewater rafting guide, and even rode a motorbike from Canada to Argentina. Deckhand Antonius, who used to work in the medical field, followed his dream to be on the water, and you can tell he’s passionate about it, –guests rave about his service. Chef Amber is not only a fantastic chef but also a certified yoga instructor, which ties into their wellness package.
Speaking of which, the wellness package is a cool add-on for just $4,000 that gets you a lot. It includes yoga classes, meditation sessions, hikes, and beach activities, all led by Amber and tailored to suit each charter group, along with a custom wellness menu. It’s a great option if you’re looking to fully relax and recharge while onboard.
9. JEWEL
We know catamaran JEWEL and her crew pretty well by now, after visiting her several times at both the USVI and BVI Yacht Shows.
JEWEL is all in all a very beautiful and luxurious catamaran with a bright interior with good use of natural fibers and decorations straight from nature like shells, corals, and driftwood.
We were also lucky to try some of the food served onboard JEWEL, and it was extremely delicious. I am thoroughly satisfied with this catamaran and crew!
8. OMAKASE
OMAKASE won 1st Place for Best Motor Yacht in Show, and it’s so well deserved! From the moment you step onboard, this brand-new yacht wows you with her spacious, luxurious, and beautifully designed layout. Light wood, marble countertops, and soft fabrics in whites and light blues give it a vibe that’s both elegant and homey. It’s super inviting.
The cabins are equally impressive, with stylish décor and great ensuite facilities, but the real star of the show is the massive flybridge. It’s well-protected, has a balcony towards the bow, and a big aft deck with sunbeds. There’s also plenty of seating, a bar top with chairs, and even a cooking area with a portable pizza oven. Honestly, this is the spot for a sunset party—cocktails flowing, food sizzling, and good vibes all around.
We got a taste of this during the yacht hop, and wow, what a show! OMAKASE served a gorgeous sushi spread paired with delicious cocktails while a live saxophonist played on the aft deck under disco lights. It was pure magic.
Big credit goes to the crew—Captain Wouter Hanekom and Chef/First Mate Kelly Sargent—who absolutely nailed it. They’re the heart of this yacht, making everyone feel welcome and ensuring every detail is perfect. OMAKASE isn’t just a yacht; it’s an experience you don’t want to miss.
7. SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL
If you’re looking for the real deal Caribbean experience, SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL is where it’s at. This is the only catamaran with an all-Caribbean crew, a Caribbean-themed interior, and a locally inspired menu. It’s luxury meets local culture, and it’s no wonder the crew stole the spotlight at the show.
With a whole life’s worth of local knowledge, they know the Virgin Islands the best of anyone. They love taking guests on farm tours and historic hikes and even meeting with local musicians and artists.
The yacht itself is as impressive as the experience. With a lightweight, high-performance design, it’s fast, smooth, and super comfortable. The flybridge is the real gem—a huge space with lounge seating, daybeds, cocktail tables, and even two fridges to keep the drinks ice-cold. It’s the perfect spot to hang out, whether you’re soaking up the sun or watching the stars.
But let’s talk about the crew. Captain Lukata Samuel is a Virgin Islands local who discovered his passion for sailing right here at home. His career has taken him all over the Caribbean, but now he’s back doing what he loves most: sharing his home waters with guests.
Captain Lukata’s partner, Benita, the chef onboard, is just as amazing. With family roots spanning the Caribbean, from Cuba to Trinidad, she brings a true local explorer’s spirit. She’s spent years in the culinary and restaurant world. She says her favorite thrill is “watching her guests dance when they eat.” And if you’re into yoga or pilates, you’re in luck—Benita is a certified instructor and even offers yoga-focused charters.
6. KINGS RANSOM
Kings Ransom – 76 ft Matrix (5 cabins / 10 guests)
One of the finest in her size class: a sprawling master suite with jacuzzi, expansive deck spaces, serious watersport gear—and a crew that consistently earns top marks. Freshly refitted and designed for both luxury and comfort.
5. ZINGARA
I loved ZINGARA so much that I ended up returning three times! First, with the mission of taking pictures for one of our brokers who was about to charter her. Then, to chat more with the crew, who had made a great impression. And lastly, for the Yacht Hop, where ZINGARA’s crew had a fantastic surprise waiting for us all!
Zingara is an older model catamaran, and that comes with some advantages: Unlike many newer models (like Balis, where the rigging is more for show than for actual sailing), ZINGARA was built for both luxurious living and sailing. You will be able to experience the magical feeling of turning off the engines and moving by pure wind force.
One thing we always check extra with older yachts is their condition, and ZINGARA is impeccably maintained. With a fresh, full paint job inside and out, she looks as good as new.
The interior is beautifully laid out, with 1 master cabin and 4 VIP cabins, each styled in its own uplifting color scheme. The main saloon feels luxurious, vibrant, and welcoming, with thoughtful details like stunning artwork and a huge carved wooden turtle beside the dining table.
The galley is a standout—large, well-equipped, and visually inviting. Unlike the industrial, hidden galleys you see on many yachts today, this one is consistent with the aesthetics. It helps that it’s home to Chef Ed Stacey, a great character as much as a great chef!
On deck, ZINGARA offers something truly unique. The flybridge connects over the top to the foredeck, so you can walk directly down to the trampolines. Between the trampolines is a swim ladder that can be lowered at anchor, creating an ideal swim platform—a rare feature that makes the foredeck a perfect spot for water lovers.
ZINGARA offers an exceptional diving experience with 12 tanks, an onboard air compressor, BCDs, weight sets, and dive lights available for up to 10 divers. Certified divers can enjoy up to four dives, including night dives, all included in the charter. Resort courses and referral Open Water certifications are also available, with practical training included in the charter fee (PADI e-learning is paid separately).
4. AEOLUS
Our Team’s Favorite Catamaran at the USVI Yacht Show 2024!
AEOLUS stole the show for us at the USVI Yacht Show—and for good reason. The French-themed party during the yacht hop sealed it! Not only did Aeolus win 1st Place for Best Yacht Hop in Show, but she also took home Runner-Up for Best Yacht in Show and Runner-Up in the Mixology Competition.
Our first visit to AEOLUS was memorable for an entirely different reason. A sudden downpour had us seeking refuge, and word had it that AEOLUS had the best coffee at the show. The rain gave us time to really take in her stunning interior and get to know the crew—and honestly, both were brilliant.
AEOLUS is brand-new, built in 2024, and already showing great promise, thanks to her exceptional crew of four: Captain Michael Wilson, Chef Casey, First Mate Christo, and Stewardess Chene.
The layout of AEOLUS is fantastic. Her main saloon is open, airy, and feels like a floating palace. The décor is modern, bright, and natural, with meticulous attention to detail. The flybridge and cockpit are spacious and perfect for socializing, and the water toy selection is impressive—including a sailing Minicat 420, a standout feature on a charter yacht.
Now, let’s talk about the yacht hop—what a hit! The French theme was executed to perfection. Stepping onboard, you were offered a chic red French beret or silk neck scarf. In the cockpit, champagne and potent gimlets were flowing, and the dining table was a feast of French delights: croissants, cheese and charcuterie boards, olives, grapes, dips, and more. But the real highlight? The flybridge photo booth, complete with an Eiffel Tower backdrop, fun props, and those French hats and scarves. It was a total vibe and had everyone buzzing.
3. MARIAH PRINCESS III
MARIAH PRINCESS III Ticks All the Boxes:
- They win yearly awards for both yacht and food
- Impressive Master Cabin with fold-down balcony and BIG walk-in closet
- Jacuzzi on the flybridge
- SCUBA gear, Instructors, and 5 dives included
- Impressive Menu and bold tablescapes
- Excellent Client Feedback
It is not surprising that MARIAH PRINCESS III won Best Yacht in Show at the BVI Yacht Show in 2023. And this year, Chef Nicole Bowman took the title Runner Up for Best Dessert in the Culinary Competition. MARIAH PRINCESS III is a super luxurious catamaran with several unique features that make her stand out from catamarans of the same size. Her interior design, for one, is quite different from most other yachts, with a bolder use of colors that solidifies her as a unique brand rather than just another Lagoon.
Captain Kevin Gentles has his PADI Dive Master certification, and Chef Nicole Bowman has her PADI Rescue certification; they are both able to guide experienced and beginner divers. Note that for each certified guest, 2 dives are included in the base charter rate. On top of that, First Mate Mitchell Nesbitt loves all things watersports and will see that guests have proper education and safety when they want to break out the E-foil and Seabob!
If you read the guest’s feedback from MARIAH PRINCESS III’s guestbook, you will quickly notice the consistent rave about the crew and their excellent service. We especially see a lot of credit to the Chef, Nicole, with comments like: “Your food has been amazing – no need for finding restaurants off the boat – your coking was far better.”
2. OHANA
And now to my no. 1 favorite charter catamaran currently available in the British Virgin Islands!
I will start by saying that the reason why OHANA is my top choice is because, other than being one of the most beautiful catamarans I have seen on the market, she is a charter vessel that honestly ticks all the boxes for a perfect adventure in the BVI!Ohana is an 80-foot luxury sailing catamaran with accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 deluxe, king-size ensuite cabins. She is among the larger catamarans available, and she is brand new, built only in 2023!!
I would say that Ohana is the ideal charter yacht for both an adventurous and active charter vacation with a group of friends and more intimate charters for couples or honeymooners.
Ohana has a built-in scuba diving compressor and an area designated for tanks and top-of-the-line gear.
Non-certified guests can experience a complimentary Discovery Scuba Dive with one of Ohana’s certified instructors.
During a seven-day charter, certified divers may dive up to five times, one dive per full charter day, with the guidance of a scuba instructor.
Additional dives can be added based on itinerary and captain/instructor’s discretion. The cost of scuba diving is $100/dive/diver.
1. NAUTI NICKEL
I absolutely love the style of NAUTI NICKEL—it’s both unique and super tasteful. She’s a rare find, accommodating up to 10 guests with 4 crew, and she can cruise in both the British Virgin Islands and the US Virgin Islands.
Launched in 2023, NAUTI NICKEL is brand-new and packed with all the amenities you could want. The salon has a cool urban chic vibe with leather upholstery and a stunning custom backlit bar that lures you in like a fly to a lamp. There’s an open galley, a dining area, and a cozy lounge for anything from your morning coffee to an evening chess match.
The flybridge is a total standout, with two seating areas, a bar, a grill, a TV, and even a jacuzzi. It’s perfect for sunset cocktails or just hanging out with amazing views all around. There’s plenty of shade under the bimini, or you can soak up the sun on the huge aft lounge cushion—ideal for napping, reading, or just relaxing.
And then there are the water toys. NAUTI NICKEL has one of the best selections I’ve seen on a catamaran, including a jet ski (which is super rare for catamarans), seabobs, paddleboards, wakeboards, water skis, and more. It’s basically a floating playground, perfect for families or groups who love being on and in the water.
If you’re looking for a super luxurious, well-equipped yacht with plenty of space and the perfect setup for adventure,NAUTI NICKEL is hard to beat.
