Teague Bay

Location 

Teague Bay is located on the northeastern side of St Croix island only 13km E of Christiansted. It is home to the St Croix Yacht Club and is looking out towards Buck Island National Park. The club was founded in 1952 and has been an important hub for yachters. It is one of the main anchorages on the north shore of the island and attracts more visitors to explore the beauty of the island of St Croix. 

Navigation 

Teague Bay is a well-protected anchorage located behind a long barrier reef. It can be challenging to enter as it requires cruising for several miles behind the reefs. Nighttime approaches are not recommended for first-time visitors. The sand is bottom and offers relatively good holding. Moving further away off Romney Pt is not recommended due to the presence of shoal waters. The berths are mostly occupied by club members and visiting yachts are not as common. Water and electricity are also available but there is no fuel station. 

General Information 

This is a charming and often quiet area where visitors come to enjoy the beach and swim in the crystal clear waters. Great for snorkelling due to the shallow waters with plenty of fish and other marine life. A restaurant and bar overlooking the water make for a great sunset spot for a light dinner or a Sunday brunch. Not suitable for provisioning since there are not a lot of services or other stores available in the area.
