Crew Information
Captain: Jeremy Hansberger
MEET YOUR CREW
CAPTAIN: JEREMY HANSBERGER
CHEF: KYLIE KNIBLOE
Jeremy grew up in Sandusky, Ohio, but he will tell you that Key West, Florida is home because this is where he spent most of his time. Jeremy has worked a number of jobs in the past, but his main focus has always been Captain, SCUBA diver, and Restaurant Manager. Jeremy has over 20 years of experience as a USCG 100 ton Captain and PADI certified dive instructor working in a number of different places including Hawaii, Curaçao, and Put-In-Bay of South Bass Island. In 2017, Jeremy decided he was going to give the “City Lifestyle'' a try and moved to Tampa, Florida where he began working as a Bar Manager for one of the new waterfront restaurants. This is where he met Kylie! Two years of the “City Lifestyle” was enough for Jeremy, so he packed up and headed to St. Thomas. Kylie, freshly graduated and ready to start a new adventure, followed shortly after.
Kylie was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. (GO BULLS!!) Growing up Kylie always knew she wanted to be a marine biologist. In an effort to escape the chilly Buffalo winters and get closer to the ocean, she moved to Tampa, Florida in 2017. Kylie enrolled at the University of South Florida and graduated with her bachelor's degree in Marine Biology in 2020. Being that this was the first time she ever lived on her own, Kylie quickly realized she could not survive off scrambled eggs and boxed macaroni and cheese for long. This is when Kylie began to teach herself how to cook. It took some time, but Kylie is now a skilled, self-taught chef with a plethora of recipes she loves to share with family and friends. While in school, Kylie worked as a bartender at some of the local restaurants where she had the opportunity to train with "Magic" Mike Warner, an iconic figure in the bartender community. This is also where she met Jeremy!
This will be Jeremy and Kylie’s 3rd season running charters together in the Virgin Islands. The dynamic duo are both very active and enjoy hiking, snorkeling, sailing, and diving, and love to share their knowledge of the wildlife and history of the islands with others. The pair are always looking to extend their skill set, so in this most recent off-season, Jeremy obtained his ASA instructor certification and Kylie began working towards her USCG Captains License.
