Mimbaw is a luxury Lagoon 410 dive catamaran with 3 cabins in queen size comfort for guests and 1 for the crew. Cruising the Caribbean in style Mimbaw is equipped with tanks and dive gear, including Nitrox, for up to 4 dives a day. In addition, the powerful dinghy allows guests to enjoy the thrill of wakeboarding, skiing and tubing. Offered by DMA Yachting, the impressive charter yacht MIMBAW is a 42 ft sailing catamaran. The main attractions of MIMBAW are her generous space and inviting socializing areas. MIMBAW spends the summer season in US Virgin Islands. She was completed by the renowned boatbuilder Lagoon in 1999. An elegant refit was fulfilled in 2010. The ingenious yacht layout features 3 generous cabins and comfortably accommodates a group of 6 guests.

MIMBAW is offered primarily as a sailing catamaran. The the core layout is spread out from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is where heart of the yacht is and that's where the guests spend most of their time. The fascinating cabins offer designer mattrace beds and feature ensuite bathrooms. The cabins are connected by stairs to the main saloon - roomy, comfortable and pleasant. Multiple portholes connect you with the outside world.

The sailboat features Our main engines are 2 Yanmars mostly used for docking and mooring the vessel. The real heart of Mimbaw are the 8 Solar Panels which provide an eco friendly experience that still powers the electrical system for our many conveniences including 2 private fans in each stateroom, ice maker and internet connection available on the move. Our hull is even painted with eco friendly nonshaffing bottom paint that does not poison our beloved Caribbean reefs. Mimbaw is the perfect choice for active guests. We have diving for beginners wanting to try the sport - referral certification for Padi, up to experienced divers who want only the captains input on the most pristine sites available. Three kayaks for 2 people each allow eco exploring of pristine beaches including the in island salt lakes of Anagada to view the Flamingos, a tender able to take all guests and still wake board and water ski. Relax on the trampoline between adventures. Join us for snorkeling with the floating bar and fun crew of Mimbaw.

Mimbaw can also take guests over to the Spanish Virgins, Culebra & Viequez.

Other Green Efforts: Watermaker produces 6 gallons per hour Mimbaw endeavors to operate with a reduced-carbon footprint and charters in a fashion that is supportive and respectful of the local environment. A large solar arran and the good use of windscoops negate the need for a diesel powered generator. The array runs all electrical systems on board including the dredges/freezers, water and ice namers. Elbow grease and green cleaning products are used where possible. Constant effort is made to source organic, fresh food and that with the least amount of air-miles. The intent and desire of the Mimbaw crew is to continuously find ways to improve Mimbaw�s green credentials.

Crew Information

Captain: Keenan Gingrich

Keenan & Ashley share a love of water and sea life, after traveling to the South Pacific’s Kingdom of Tonga to swim with humpback whales, Keenan & Ashley met sailors-traveling the world and fell in love-with sailing. It has since become a way of life. After returning to the US, they bought a 24ft monohull and worked through ASA training, followed by RYA Skipper Training and eventually USCG Captain’s training. They then purchased Mimbaw and completed a complete refit of the boat during Covid and over the course of more than a year of work! They’re now excited to invite you aboard!!

Keenan
From a young age Keenan longed for adventure and sought it out. By the time he was 11 he was open water scuba-certified which became a life-long passion and career while in Koh Phi Phi, Thailand Keenan was certified as a Dive Master & since has had the opportunity to become a Dive Instructor and work in some of the Dive Mecca’s of the world. Keenan is excited to invite diver’s aboard whether looking to get certified, just try it out, or try out a new spot.

Growing up in an Italian American home food has always been an important part of Ashley's life, learning to cook at a young age. This love of cooking has followed her around the world first learning to cook in Tuscany at 18 and jumping at opportunities to take additional cooking courses wherever she goes. Ashley spent her time at home hosting dinner parties and could not have found a better fit than as a catamaran chef and she can’t wait to host you aboard!
